Aya

A softshell turtle that has made her home in the wetlands in the outskirts of the Hidden City, Aya is a mycologist that has taken it upon herself to create her own mushroom pets. Mushrooms, to her, are friends, rather than enemies, contrary to the belief of most Hidden City residents. Her closest confidante is a Devil's Tooth mushroom that she wears on her head at all times to both ward off psychic attacks as well as shield others from any accidental mystic power that might leak out of her.

Aya used to work at a retail store, when she ended up really hitting it off with Donnie. After dating for a while, and him convincing her to become a mycologist and move to the wetlands, Aya noticed Donnie was thinking of somebody else. She assumed, perhaps too quickly, that she was a rebound of sorts, and broke up with him. From then on, she lives in isolation.
