Petalfrost was once the healer in a group of outsiders, named Petal back then. She tended to her friends and family, developing a relationship with one called Wolf. They had kits together and it was great. But the leader of the group, nicknamed Ghost for how often she disappeared and returned, didn't seem to like the kits at all. No one knows why the kits made Ghost mad, but they did. The leader ended up killing the kits while Petal and Wolf were out hunting. They came back to find Ghost over the dead bodies. Wolf attacked Ghost but ended up dying. Petal finished Ghost off, having an edge over the already wounded leader. Petal wept for everyone and buried them all before going rogue. She was invited into Shadowclan when she rescued one of their kits from a fox attack and became the medicine cat.
