Werúno is a spirit that is formed from the souls of animals that die during wildfires. It is often seen before or after such fires, ushering others out of harm's way or laying the fallen to rest. It is warm to the touch and leaves a trail of ash, woodsmoke, and smoldering footprints in its wake.
