Profile
Orangepetal is an outgoing and quirky young she-cat with a confident, outspoken demeanor. She is quick to leave a lingering impression on others, and is unapologetically herself. Before joining the Vagabonds, Orange was a wandering loner with an insatiable hunger for adventure and discovery. Along with her father and sisters, she would spend moons at a time exploring the coast and meeting new cats. Now that she has settled down among her new peers, she is learning to fulfill the roles of a caretaker, but a love of adventure still burns brightly in her chest.
Orangepetal is a petite tabby she-cat with a striking orange pelt. She has a cream belly with lighter-colored underfur and a feathery, bobbed tail. Her pelt is thick and medium in length, and is especially fluffy around her belly, cheeks, and haunches. Her eyes are a vibrant honey-amber color.
An injury during her kithood resulted in her short tail; she was born with a long, would-be feathery tail with a light cream tip. She has learned to function without it, but her balance is somehwat stunted as a result. Fortunately, her reflexes are sharp, allowing her to regain her footing more often than not.
Orangepetal is an all-around outgoing and vibrant young she-cat with a natural skill in socializing. Friendly and sharp-witted, her ability to come up with unique solutions never seems to fail her. Orange brings a warmth and positive energy to any space she enters, and it's hard to take things too seriously when she's involved, for better or for worse.
Her friends can attest to her being supportive and affectionate, both by touch and by word—she is always eager to spend time with the cats she cares about. Orange will make her feelings towards you no secret, be they warm feelings of friendship or otherwise.
Orange also has quite a way with younger cats, given her spontaneous and adventurous personality. While she may not be the most mature or responsible of the caretakers, she certainly brings a reliable sense of fun and excitement to the nursery and camp alike. It is perhaps due to this fun-loving and tireless enthusiasm that Orange was decided to fulfill the duties of a caretaker in the first place.
That isn't to say that she has no major flaws. With her inexperience and absence of true hardship in her past, Orange is naive to the world and perhaps a bit entitled. She has a strong sense of pride and tends to make reckless decisions while blinded by her desire for entertainment. Worse yet, she often fails to take accountability for her actions, and takes a stubborn stance in defending herself, even if she knows she's wrong.
... Needless to say, Orange still has a lot to learn. Will she adapt to the ways of the wild and be able to honestly pull her own weight, or will she falter and flee from the new responsibilities she's been entrusted with in favor of her own selfish desires?
Orangepetal's mother and father were both loners. Though they did not live together, the two shared a lingering romance that never faded no matter the duration of time spent apart. Orange and her sisters would alternate between the company of each parent, learning different skills and valuable lessons from each.
After the sisters had grown into adolescence, they began to choose their own paths, supported by the mentorship and guidance provided by their parents. Orange felt that continuing to explore the world called to her most, and it was during the early moons of her travels that she found—or rather was found by—the Vagabonds.
