Profile

My alt-sona!

Cyrus feared losing his friends and loved ones. To live without them was a life he could not imagine, and thus, he would do anything to keep them in his life.
In order to fight to keep them, the Allosaurus sought power from the tyrant of his land; the God of Lightning.
Their power was vast, and their pacts were infamously treacherous; the god deriving great pleasure from the misfortune of mortals. Cyrus was unaware of their tendencies, but even still, the pact they made with him was quite curious.
After hearing his plight, and plea, the God granted Cyrus their boon of power, and curiously, asked for nothing in return... The Allosaurus reached skyward as instructed, and was struck by bolt of red lightning from the heavens; bleaching his feathers on his arm and face white, and endowing him with proficiency with the element that was unmatched among his mortal peers.

Now stronger than ever, the Allosaurus went, and followed his fear.
When he arrived in his home village, he struck without thought nor mercy, and effortlessly castigated his competition for all to see.
And all did see, as those he sought to defend stood in horror before the bloody mess, terrified by Cyrus' capacity for violence.
The rush subsided like tripping off a cliff, and the Allosaurus met their gazes, and saw within each of their eyes the monster he had become to them. He was nearly unrecognizable past his mark and all the blood.

Cyrus pleaded as they all left, but was helpless to stop them. Foul cackles thundered through the skies and on the winds around him.
The God of Lightning had their end of the bargain: getting to watch the Allosaurus himself bring about the downfall he feared; forever marked and unable to see himself without being reminded of his actions.

Feeling as though there was nothing left for him in life, Cyrus eventually entered the colosseum as a willing independent gladiator, using the only thing he really retained; his fighting prowess. He now battles with both a rage-born fury, and a haunted melancholy, hoping that one day the arena will claim him too.
