Dart

A recluse who works as the village’s doctor; a job that xe’s good at, though xir bedside manner leaves much to be desired. Xe’s not outright hostile, but xe is not friendly and xir default expression is ‘vaguely irritated’ and/or ‘weary acceptance’.

Crimson is xir younger sister, and the one true bond xe has. She's been in xir care since their reunion in Not-Earth. Xe wasn't really expecting to see any of xir family again after what had happened on Earth to divide them, but xe'd found xirself checking the gate for the half-season since xe arrived anyway). Dart is very gentle with Crimson. Xe knows she has more social needs than xe does, content with solitary life as xe is, and she struggles to open up and make friends. Crim needs more than Dart can give and xe doesn't have the skills to raise her alone.  Xe's stubborn, but xe wants to learn and do right by her.

Dart does not get along with most cats, but xe's become fairly close with Sweetpea, somehow. Sweetpea does not irritate xem, and xe might even enjoy his company. The two don't have to speak much with each other, but seem to agree on most things. He might be the one cat Dart would accept advice from.
