Profile
Justine is a DWMA graduate who continues to live in Death City. Her family and close friends all live in the city, and as such she doesn't feel any need to leave, especially since she'd rather be close to Lord Death, as one of his death scythes. She currently has no interest in being sent to another country to work for another DWMA branch.
She is a demon weapon who's form is a flame whip. She has multiple modes she can switch between, those being her normal fire form, blue fire form, and flame-out. Her no flame mode can be turned on and off at will, but if she's sustained enough damage her flames will be out. Blue fire is her max power form.
She became a death scythe through the help of multiple meisters, those being Stein, Maka's mother and an unnamed meister. Stein was the one who ultimately forged her in the end.
At the DWMA, besides being a death scythe usable by Lord Death, she assists with the school healers, working as a nurse and helping students who can be treated by her anti-demon wavelength. While her wavelength isn't healing in the same way as a true healing-wavelength, she can have a very positive effect on those effected by madness. For example, after Soul sustained intense damage from his first encounter with Crona, she was able to stay by his side, helping to limit the mental damage caused by the black blood.

- She attended the DWMA during the same time as Stein, Marie and Spirit. She's still close with all of them, especially Stein.
- She is a death scythe, although she's not as strong as others like Marie and Spirit. This causes some resentment on her end, feeling inadequate. However, her calling is being closer to students, rather than being on the battlefield, although she does like it.
- Despite becoming Stein's assistant, working and living at his lab, Stein still ends up teaming up with Marie more consistantly, considering how powerful she is. Stein agrees to work with Justine to help her become stronger, though, and she works with him on certain missions (She helps defeat Medusa)
- She nearly died after being captured by Medusa, only surviving because of Stein and his ability to soul resonance with her despite the black blood now in her body.
- She is one of two death scythe's living in Death City, the other being Spirit. She considers herself "on call" for both Stein and Lord Death.
Stein is a longtime friend of Justine's. They both attended the DWMA at the same time. Eventually, she moves into his lab as his assistant and weapon partner. Death believes Justine's anti-demon wavelength will benefit him. She is both an enabler of Stein, but aims to help him stay grounded.
Justine gets along fairly well with Spirit, and deeply respects his bond with Stein, acknowledging how well they work together as weapon and meister. She, however, does not approve of his behavior towards women, and will often chastise him for destroying his relationship with his wife, whom Justine did have a friendship with.
Justine forms a pretty immediant bond with Crona, wanting to help them accept there's more to life than being a tool for Medusa. Her and Stein eventually become Crona's adoptive parents, taking him in and helping him, as well as Ragnarok.
Death has high hopes for Justine, and continues to encourage her as one of his death scythes. His biggest critique of her is her low confidence, as well as her habit of only working if it's with Stein. Death knows Justine can get along with just about anyone, and her potential is great, but he also does respect her loyalty to Stein.
Justine and Marie have an interesting relationship to say the least. Both of them were very close during their years at the DWMA, however, once Marie found out Justine has feelings for Stein, it caused them to drift slightly, although they are still very close. Both of them have a lot in common, such as their caring natures, and Justine loves having Marie over to also serve as a parental figure for Crona, but sometimes they tend to argue over Stein, Marie feeling as though Justine enables him too much, and Justine saying the opposite, that Marie just doesn't get their dynamic.
Justine does not throw around the word hate very often, but she will say that she truly, deeply hates Medusa with every part of her soul. Not only did she harm and try to manipulate Stein, and her treatment of Crona, she is responsible for injecting black blood into Justine, causing her body to nearly implode due to her anti-demon wavelength being naturally incompatible with something like black blood. Easy to say, there is absolutely nothing Justine could ever find redeeming about Medusa.
