Always aching for more, Viola is cursed to never really feel satisfied with what he has... though, to be fair, he hasn’t really allowed himself the chance to try and be happy. Viola is the incarnation of the human sin of envy, and he’s allowed his bitter resentment to completely control him. He aches for attention and validation, and has started to behave and dress in any way he can that might draw attention to him. Sometimes that works, other times he ends up just disgusting himself. Aside from that, with day-to-day interaction he tends to come off as a bit... awkward and cold around strangers. He sometimes puts on a front of considering himself a beautiful treasure worth fawning over (especially when trying to make a first impression that might make someone want him) but that facade is paper-thin. When he isn’t doing that, though, he isn’t terrible to be around as long as he isn’t currently feeling spiteful to who he’s interacting with, even acting somewhat mild mannered and sweet with whoever he might grow to trust. | GENDER: doesn’t really have one, male-ish (he/him) ORIENTATION: who can say... has historically been romantically entangled with men in his past lives as a human. Viola has chosen to allow himself to become reincarnated as a human to live amongst them countless times, partly to see if things might turn out differently if he does it enough, partly because he forgets his true existence/past memories of being an incarnation of a sin while he’s living as a human... and partly out of some weird masochistic satisfaction he gets from collecting painful memories. In most of his lives, he’s found himself consumed by the very emotion he embodies in one way or another, constantly finding himself becoming a spurned lover, getting cheated on, and getting involved in convoluted love triangles. With each life, he’s become slightly more aware of his old lives as well, and that is... bothersome. He tries to avoid falling in love with people, or even wanting to become close friends with anyone because he inevitably becomes unbearably jealous of whoever might approach them, and even he is aware of how terrible that could be. He secretly wants more than anything to be something that someone else covets above all, to the point where they won’t touch or look at anything else. He’s aware it’s unrealistic, but he seems to be the most drawn to and comforted by the most unrealistic hopes. It’s something he doesn’t believe is truly possible for him, though. | Viola has a very... inconsistent way of interacting with people. He tends to avoid the other sins, convincing himself that they have other things and other people they’re more involved with or more interested in to attend to. He likes to focus on getting shallow, meaningless attention from humans. He’s found human men to be the easiest to manipulate, especially ones that are as uninterested in pursuing a relationship as he is. He doesn’t necessarily crave the sex itself as much as he enjoys the attention explicitly being focused on solely him, however that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t enjoy the sex by any means. It’s just the easiest way to feeds his “craving” for attention and his intense need to feel important. He pretty much refuses to get intimate with any personhe already knows out of fear that the past relationship would be enough for him to develop some sort of infatuation with them, and he’s learned that will lead to nothing but anguish for him due to the nature of his existence. |
