Grim Galaxy

Born with her heart on her chest, encased in a swirling galaxy crystal, Grim has always been quite aware of the effect she has on others. She had a galaxy opal heart, with smaller galaxy opals surrounding it. She also had a giant galaxy opal on her forehead.

When Grim was about five, Penny taught her that the smaller opals were representative of other ponies cutie marks, and soon after, Grim learned what this meant for her. A sharp pain in her chest as an opal disappeared, followed Penny's cutie mark appearing. While it hurt, Grim was estatic, and quickly  ran up to her sister to admire the mark.

Grim is highly outgoing, and not very cautious. The opal on her head seems to work a bit like a unicorn's horn, but all it's managed to do so far is keep Grim from hurting herself once or twice by creating a shield. The opal also glitters whenever Grim is close to a friend, fading to a dark blackish (night sky as seen from earth) color when she is alone.

Grim is often to be found out exploring, or meeting new ponies. She's considering becoming a teacher, though she is also highly tempted by the prospect of becoming an investigative journalist. As of such she hasn't found her cutie mark yet, though she has been volunteering to work at both the school and the local paper regularly. (She might end up with both jobs actually :3)

As an Opal pony with her heart on her chest, it is possible she might have her heart taken from her, though it would take someone really evil to steal her heart.
