17 year old long believed to be dead. Jack was thrown into the pit at 15 and was completely terrified of what he was becoming. Hurting and panicking, he fled into the tunnels and never returned. Search parties for him where in vain. Unknown to the community, he'd retreated further than anyone dared go...and found a hole. He began to crawl around on the surface in search of an escape. Later on, his location was discovered by [insert person here]. They promised not to tell of his location and instead began to work with him. Jack would steal things from the camps above and the person would deposit them in convenient locations, helping the group.
Jack is very reserved and antisocial. He doesn't like people, especially in crowds. Much more content to curl up by himself in a dark corner where he knows he won't be found. Tends to panic when yelled at and doesn't think well when under pressure. Has a soft spot for being warm and fuzzy, which makes him crave physical contact, but he tries his best to ignore it (even though it makes him feel very lonely). Doesn't know what to do with his morals and is only half confident in his abilities. Although he is very good at sneaking around, it stresses him out to no end, which can cause him to be very snappy. If treated with hostility, he will return it. Has a very difficult time trusting people.
