Kiht'tan Mewrilah

Kiht'tan is the tenth son from a long line of highly skilled archers hailing from Gridania. Like his brothers, Kiht'tan is burdened with the expectation of becoming a highly skilled archer, and is pressured to compete with his older siblings to uphold the Mewrilah name. Along with this, he also feels the frustration of his parents from him being their 10th failed attempt to have a daughter, all of which leaves him with intense self-esteem issues. This leads to him keeping his honest opinions to himself whenever he's in a situation he's unhappy or uncomfortable with, allowing others to think everything is okay.

On top of being the youngest, Kiht'tan is also a runt, being much shorter than any of his siblings were at his age, and shorter than most of his peers. This makes weilding a bow slightly more difficult for him, as the more effective long bows are longer than he is tall. It does, however, make him more effective at hiding, something he is oft prone to doing. Being a rather skittish and timid young man, Kiht'tan will hide in the nearest bush or other cover at the slightest sense of threat, including strangers just passing by. When faced with dangerous beasts trying to attack him, he tends to flee, though he appears to have mastered a unique method of shooting arrows while running.

Besides hiding in bushes, Kiht'tan has some other behaviors that tend to fuel the stereotype of Miqo'te being cat-like. If ground cover is ineffective or unavailable, he will climb up whatever is available, including trees and buildings when possible to escape perceived danger. He also despises getting wet, and will panic if he slips into a river no matter how shallow, and sit under cover for hours if necessary when it starts to rain. He also frequently crouch-sits when not doing much, claiming it's more comfortable and makes him feel safer.
