History
At age 7, Akito and his younger sibling, Harriet "Harry" Crescent, were adopted by Leila Crescent and Akagi Kisaragi after the former found them during a mission. The siblings' origins are shrouded in mystery; nobody can tell where they came from or what they actually are. Despite that, Akito was raised like a member of the family from the day he stepped into Leila's apartment.
However, many years later, things change. After an unexplained event, Leila disappears, leaving an amnesiac Akito behind to fend for himself, far away from home. With no memory of his house or family, Akito wanders and loses himself in void and darkness until coming across a path to a different plane of existence; the Dreaming World.

Personality
Akito is a bit of an odd one. He's impulsive and sometimes even thoughtless, doing things as they come to mind instead of thinking them through. Despite that, he's not exactly an energetic sort, quite the opposite; his default state is lethargic and apathetic. His ultimate goal is to find his family, but he's also afraid of what he'll find at the end of the journey; that the person he used to be was much better than the one he is now. So, he postpones it as much as possible by helping out his friends instead of moving along with his own quest.

Present
Every night, instead of having his own dreams, Akito can traverse and enter the whole dreamscape, that is, the connected dreams of every person currently alive. Along with his new friends, Ichabod the human and Orpheus the dream-construct, they hunt for dangerous nightmares and defeat them before they can warp the minds of people in the Waking World.
