He and his mate, Frostshade, have been together for a very long time, so Cloudstar made an exception to allow them to continue being mates despite Spiderstripe being a medicine cat. Spiderstripe is inventive, stubborn, and sweet. Often, he likes to sun inside of the camp, as he's never busy.
