Bunie speaks almost exclusively Japanese, although he appears to understand enough English to make sense of things when English is the main language. He may just not know enough to feel comfortable forming full sentences. The name “Bunie” is used because that’s the only way he ever addresses himself.「ウサギです」is a common way he will introduce himself, sometimes followed by a simple translation; pointing to his nose and repeating either “Bunie” or “Rabitto”.
Nothing about his history is really certain, since in many situations there is that language barrier. But from what can be inferred, he knows how to make candies and is surprisingly competitive in any physical games or sports. He is agile, skilled, and full of energy. Even with a competitive edge, he will purposefully trip others up for fun. His intelligence level is unknown, but he is clearly sentient.

Besides speaking his native language every now and then, he acts much like an overgrown rabbit; standing still while sniffing the air, jumping around and off walls, thumping his feet, ect. He makes no attempt to adhere to the conventions of humanoid life at all.
He is just as likely to introduce himself and bow as he is to stare directly at someone without moving or saying a word. His favorite thing to do is challenge others either randomly or at official events. If a game or competition is initiated at random, he’ll often offer food, candy, or money as a reward for beating him.
