NOVA 🌌

Nova was born in Constellation Cay in Iddesia, an island that glimmered so brightly it almost appears as if the ground is made of stars. The beaches mimic that of a night sky, and the shells & rocks that appear on the beach are very abnormal, coming in bizarre shapes and colors. If you put your ear up to a hollow shell, you will hear gentle twinkling. In gist, this island had a magical connection to the stars, and Nova was born there under a Neutron star, granting him even more abilities along-wish his powers as a Unseelie Fae. (More information on his abilities below!) This also gave Nova a more glittery appearance.

Nova has been alive for a very long time, at this point their age is unknown...however they have seen so much in their times of living. Nova is a vault of knowledge, and both will always have seen more and knows more than you think. They are a very playful, at times even deceitful fellow, but they typically mean well, not as evil as some other Unseelie Fae. Just very curious, and isn't afraid to snoop around to attain knowledge. Living through many decades, you could say Nova has lived through many lifetimes, and been close with many. They are a constantly changing and fluctuating being, their main form of travel being their otherworldly barn owl form, taking to the skies to see all of Iddesia, and even more than that. They traveled through the Mystic Plane, a plane of existence that mirrors the world of Iddesia, but has an entirely different atmosphere and landscape. It is rumored deep into the Plane there are holes to other dimensions, and Nova has traveled through them to find special travelers and grant them powers. In other words, Nova is a patron to travelers in universes beyond Iddesia, and this is so he can watch over and have magical connections to people and creatures beyond everything, it makes her feel like she is on those adventures with them, and is able to see more outside of their world this way.

They currently reside at Celestial Academy in Iddesia, Nova has been teaching astronomy there for quite awhile now, even before the present headmaster of 5 years arrived. Nova is known to be a very insightful, witty, and inspiring teacher, but one thing everyone agrees on, is how mysterious they are in nature. When space is a topic, they go on rambles with immense depth, but when it comes to small talk or talking about themselves, it comes down to short responses and soft hums. For having a deep, calming tone of voice, that is music to your ears, they do not use it a lot. A teacher who spends his free time watching those he's given magical gifts to through their crystal ball, and a teacher no one really knows much about. However, all they do need to know is that he loves his students and he loves teaching about a topic she's felt connected to since she was born. Albeit sad he'll never be able to truly reach the stars, he can at least show how much he cares for the galaxies above.

One important thing I can note about their past, is that he uses singing as a way to remember his mother. Nova was extremely close to his mother, and she'd sing him lullabies, so Nova will sing the lullabies she sang to him to remember her by, since he has lived so many lifetimes, it can be difficult to remember all the people who have come and gone from his life. He will never forget his caretaker, though, and his mother also inspired his love for the stars, getting him the tools to learn about the stars from a young age. Despite any grief or trauma Nova has bypassed, he is pretty carefree, most of the time seeming to have no care in the world. People around them admire that about him.
