Reyek is an akuma ( demon ), all akuma populations have dropped drastically because they were attacked deliberately by humans, their population has decreased since the emergence of the diamond era. only the 32.22% of akuma are alive in the diamond era, including reyek himself. they were attacked because one of the old prophecies said "the horned species will rule and destroy the earth in the next century".
