Indrid was given to a demon princess as a pet for her birthday, and the two became the best of friends growing up. When she attended paino lessons she demanded Indrid be taught too. They got matching outfits, attended balls and performances together, and even came up with a secret code that only they knew about. Indrid lived in the lap of luxury with no responsibilties to speak of, until the fateful day her parents pulled him aside. They told Indrid the princess had grown bored of him, before sending him back to Burrowgatory with little to no life skills to speak of.
Making his way in the big city was difficult for him at first, and still is on occasion. He often has the harsh revelation that no, the world will not be handed to him on a silver platter, and people won't do as you say just because you asked nicely. Luxurious things he was used to required carats, and a lot of them. So now he's forced to either work hard learning a valuable skill to provide Burrowgatory with, or.... he can use his past hobbies and talents to take the stage and earn carats by being his best and most fabulous self.
He's inclined towards the latter, naturally. Except he... needs money to fund his talents. So working at a music shop with his friend will have to do for now.
