Parents thought to pair up Efton and Kismet since they were getting along well, but Efton knew Kismet had something going on with Sierra. The whole trio just agreed to go along with the marriage while keeping Kismet and Sierra a secret.

When Efton died, Kismet got together with Sierra. Their relationship is less healthy than it was while they were young, but they don't outright hate each other, they still love one another.
