Casey

Casey often wonders if there is a life outside of the monotonous day to day routine. He rots in his apartment every day after work wondering when something might happen, making little effort for it. He has a troubled past that continues to haunt him, and despite his efforts, the consequences of his upbringing never end. He finds comfort in the little things nonetheless, like animals and wasting his money. Some call him reckless, but he's just doing what he knows.

Casey grew up in a broken home, never knowing what waited for him in the future. He didn't see a light at the end of the tunnel, but he persisted. His parents were neglectful and abused drugs for as long as he had been around. He had two older siblings, but they always did their own thing and he kept to himself. He always felt invisible.

His relationship between his parents was rocky. On one hand, his father had a god complex that came crashing down every now and again, and on the other, his mother was a barely functioning schizophrenic. Even without the drugs, Casey was destined to fail.

He thought his life would improve when he met his first serious girlfriend, Amy (Amelia), and spent most days with her. She ended up being a big mistake. She only furthered his idea that he was unloveable.

They split up ater a year. He mourned the loss of her, drowning the pain by finding comfort in his apartment. He kept paraphernelia that reminded him of her, and ended up planning to take his life a year after losing her. That's when his estranged childhood best friend stepped in, and everything changed.
