Written Appearance - Velvet is a lithe, smooth, soft-furred cat with pale warm-gray fur and colorpoint markings on her paws, tail, face, and ears. She has tabby-like markings on her face which don’t fade out. She has a swoop of fur that flops down and is often smooth, soft, and fluffy. She has sharp golden eyes with lighter coloring around the pupil. Her nose and inner ears are dull red, as well as her tongue, paw pads, and scars. Her teeth are a bit sharper than the usual cat’s, and she has a resting bitch face or more of an ‘I’m done with this bullshit’ face. She wears a warm red bandanna around her neck which has a dark splatter stained across the fabric. Her claws are sharp and a silver-like color. Her fur, in general, is soft and short, but still thick enough to keep her warm. Her tail fur is a slight bit longer, and her tail is long as well. Velvet has a notch in her left ear, as well as a scattering of glass-caused scars on her right cheek

Scars - She has a cut in her left ear from a failed attempt at piercing her ear and a small scattering of scars over her right cheek from the accident.

Personality overall - Velvet is a hardworking Molly, determined to ensure her group stays safe, no matter how much she seems to not care about them. She is clever and nimble, allowing them to make quick decisions like the flip of a coin. While they are mature, Velvet is also impulsive and harsh, not often thinking about the words she says when snapping at someone. Cats who knew them when they were a kit would say that she was sweet and kind, being a polite rule follower, but if you bring this up to them now, they would spit in your face and leave you with a claw-slash.

She acts as if she doesn’t care about the other two but she does, after all, they are all she has left. One of their main thoughts is ‘Act like you’re better so they can’t tell when you're at your worst’, and she keeps up this act for everyone. Though recently, she has felt her heart growing fuzzy about a certain cat she knows, and she isn’t quite sure what this feeling is. Velvet worries that it might make her seem weak, but if these emotions are what she’s thinking… is it really that bad?

Backstory - Velvet has always been a rouge, living with others her whole life. When they were a kit, they lived in an old rickety shed in the woods. She lived there as one of three families. There were her parents, Jay’s parents, Jay herself, Newt’s parents, and Newt himself. As a kit, Velvet was sweet and kind, more playful and soft. She would spend time with Newt and Jay as much as she could. She was happy there, given a red bandanna by her mother to grow into. Velvet enjoyed her time as a kit, but when she turned 5 moons, a terrible storm happened. Lightning crashed down onto the roof of the shed, igniting it into flames. The three were inside with their parents when it happened, and were the only ones to make it out. When they were fleeing, Velvet received wounds from glass shards due to slipping, and they now coat her cheek as a reminder of that night. They were told to stay together, as they are all they have.

Velvet grew more closed off, sealing her emotions from the others to not worry them. Staying so closed off made her harsh, impulsive, and mostly inconsiderate. She does care but she doesn’t show it as much as she should. Vel grew closer to Jay rather than Newt and grew up sort of aligning with her on most things.

When they were around 10 moons old, Velvet got the bright idea to pierce her ear with a rose thorn from ‘mysterious’ roses that she had been getting. Jay helped her with this idea, being as careful as she could. However, Velvet ended up sneezing during it and receiving the notch in her ear. Upon trying again a week or two later, Vel successfully got her ear pierced with the rose thorn, and now wears it with pride.

Moons have passed since then, landing Velvet at 15 moons, and they now are the hardworking, determined, harsh, and impulsive Molly they are now. Feelings for someone are growing more prominent in her head, but she isn’t sure what to do with them or how to pursue them
