Fedony Procyon is a First Order shitbag that glommed onto the newly-formed organization as soon as the Empire fell in a search for Actual Power™
Knowing full well that the New Republic wouldn't take kindly to a former Imperial, Fedony found the promising new militia and immediately signed on, hoping her cred as a former grunt would get her somewhere. As Imperial fanaticism within the Order grew to near literal hero-worship, Fedony used the atmosphere to her advantage, exaggerating her military prestige (especially at the Battle of Endor, in which she really just mostly kept missing shots and ended up getting injured by an Ewok) to weasel her way up in the ranks. By the time Starkiller Base was completed, Fedony was a colonel and a far cry from the faceless grunt she was back in the day.She is opportunistic to a fault and will do things literally just because she can. She has a constant need for recognition as an individual.
Due to her years as an Imperial stormtrooper has major issues with the number 3334 and refuses to call First Order troopers by their proper numerical designations (she makes up names for them on the fly). Just like the good ol' days, she still has abysmal marksmanship. Though surrounded by a generation that grew up under First Order rule, Fedony is isn't concerned with or emotionally invested in the agenda of the Order itself and is more so in it for personal gain alone. You could argue that she isn't evil, but she pretty much is. She's just not evil for a 'higher cause'.
PERSONALITY
Fedony is classic neutral evil. She claims no alliance but herself, and while she has the capability to care for individuals other than herself, she really doesn't care about ideologies as a whole. She is exceedingly good at pretending to be devoted to a cause in order to gain more respect and admiration. Opportunism is her middle name, and if she sees something she wants, she will devise -- at the very least -- eight plans to get what she desires.
A skilled liar, Fedony has no qualms about falsifying anything from her identity to her accomplishments to what she ate for breakfast that morning. She has the ability to remember which lies she has told which parties and takes particular care in making sure that her stories do not contradict each other.
While Fedony is not completely without a sense of empathy, she is of the firm belief that if one is not smart enough to detect her trickery, then they don't deserve any sympathy for whatever it is she takes from them. Her moral code is wobbly at best, but if she can't use you or benefit from hurting you, then she wouldn't bother going after you in the first place.
Due to the lack of any permanence in her upbringing, Fedony has a very hard time getting attached to people. She finds it difficult to even feel grief, and honestly doesn't question why it evades her. The only person she is truly attached to in an emotional sense is Eli, who has been a consistent presence in her life for over 30 years. That's how long it takes.
Contrary to Imperial and even First Order doctrine, Fedony is fascinated by and highly appreciative of non-human alien cultures. She spent a good amount of her free time talking to people inside cantinas during her years stationed on Tatooine -- obviously disguised in plainclothes. To this day, she still travels often, though her reasons for doing so are more often than not "business oriented."
Fedony prefers to get things done in a more diplomatic fashion. Dishonest negotiation tactics and a subtle setup for financial ruin is a lot easier to smooth over than a full-scale military invasion of a shipyard.
Fedony is vaguely force sensitive, but has no idea she is. She trusts her gut, and her gut just hasn't seemed to lie yet. Much to any do-gooder's dismay, whatever little force lives in her is 100% dark side flavor. Yikes.
