Profile

Lavenderwhisper | Warrior| 32 Moons | GNC tom (they/he) | Gay

A smoke-silver chimera tom with medium white spotting and blue eyes.

Lavenderwhisper might appear at first to be cold and distant. They are a cat of few words, and the ones they do use are strange- they seem to make a strongly-opinionated statement about something, only to bring up an entirely unrelated topic the next time they speak. A taciturn cat with a stern expression, you'd be forgiven for assuming they're judging you or thinking unkind thoughts about you.  But really, you probably aren't what they're on about right now. Lavenderwhisper is a daydreamer with their head in the clouds. They are easily distracted, their mind wandering off on tangents a bit more than their speech implies- so you'll forgive them if they seem to rapidly change subject. But once a topic interests them, it starts to factor greatly into their vivid internal world. They have an active imagination, a strong connection to the world as they perceive it and a deep appreciation for especially artistic people. When they're around likeminded cats, Lavenderwhisper seems to light up and become much more social. They can't change the tone of their voice, but their shift to a much more talkative person (they hope) communicates how happy they are to be there.

History

Lavenderwhisper has always been like that. Ever since he was a kit he's made that same cold expression, spoken in monotone, and said just the weirdest shit. He seemed to ask questions that maybe made more sense in his head, once asking his father Rosegold, a Shepherd, if bees could smell the weather. The moment he'd said it he thought it sounded ridiculous, but in his mind it  seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to ask- he could smell when it was about to rain, so could bees smell when it was time to pack up for winter? But Rosegold seemed more charmed by his curiosity than worry about the abruptness of the question. Lavenderkit was delighted to learn that not only can bees smell, they're also excellent at predicting weather. This was an important lesson for Lavenderkit- there is always someone out there interested in what he might have to say. He shouldn't focus too much on the cats that thought he was weird. Instead, look for friends who accepted him, maybe even encouraged him. Invigorated and more curious than ever, his inner world grew more complex and vivid. He loved to hear stories from other cats, sometimes sitting with kits to listen to the elders well into his apprenticeship. The idea of storytelling soon combined with his overwhelming curiosity and active imagination. His thesis became "Wonders and Warriors," his name for a relatively simple role-playing game that focused on collaborative narration. The idea was to have a Storyteller who led the tale, and Players acting out characters- cats granted with mysterious magical abilities. He had a lot of fun putting the idea together, and several moons since the last game he played he's thinking of getting a new group organized.
