Everyone in his surroundings died and turned into a zombie. He lived quite few days locked in his room when he gained courage to go check if his neighbor (crush), was still alive.. but she wasn't. Giving up in living, he roamed around waiting to get killed as well... but then he met Nightmare;A seemingly high-tier zombie that still retains part of his humanity, memories and is actually very strong.

In a way, 'Night' decided to tag along with to protect him, even if he wasn't that much into the idea( he's still a zombie ...), He still followed him around, so he decided to give up and just accept his 'protection'. One day when they are taking refugee on a mall, Ten gets attacked by another mutant zombie and after running away for a bit, Night helps him and kills it. Things happen and Night decides to 'turn' him, that way, he wouldn't attract other zombies attention nor try to eat him ( not as often at least..);He then forces Ten to drink some of his blood.. but Ten "species" is different..and the blood reacts different on him aswell.. but still, at the age of 17...and still virgin, now he's a zombie too.
