i'm playing fallout and i wanted to make a fucked up little vault dweller guy
-sole survivor variant: entire vault placed in cryopods when the bombs fell. this guy's pod was discreetly removed and placed in a dummy vault, identical to the first, but with mannequins instead of people inside the pods. he was then woken up by the vault's computer overseer, which reported a massive electrical failure in all but his pod. it gave him step by step instructions on how to repair the console's wiring and initiate a computer reset to save everyone's lives.
-it didn't work.
-this vault's experiment was examining the effect of surivor's guilt. the sole human subject, a 16 year old boy, was lead to believe he was at least in part responsible for the deaths of nearly a hundred other vault dwellers, some friends & family members, some strangers, and then left with nothing but the computer overseer and enough supplies to see him well into his 30s.
-at age 20, he broke out of the vault, looked across the wasteland filled with bloodthirsty ravenous beasts too monstrous to be reasoned with, and thought "oh yeah. i'll fit right in here."
-so needless to say he's not coping well. changed his first name to lambsblood, gets called lammy because that's an awkward mouthful. not a bad guy at heart just convinced he's either bad luck or a born killer who can't help but destroy everything he touches. we're gonna get him some friends though i swear
