story:

Lye was born into poverty. Their parents couldn’t even afford to send her to school. She took it upon herself to teach herself how to read and write, all while wondering why he had endure such conditions while those who had inherited wealth flourished around him.

Her father was a mechanic, and he taught her how to repair things like cars and motors from a young age. She found that she had a knack for the work, and experimented making different things out of scraps at the local junkyard. Their mother then left them, and they buried themself in this work as a distraction.

Being left alone all the time bore cynical thoughts. He sympathized with thieves, especially fond of stories like Robin Hood. He started dying his hair against his father’s wishes. He was scouted by a prestigious scientific agency for his work, and she accepted a job as a blueprint designer.

About a year into the job there was a chemical accident that she fell victim to that rendered their left eye blind. Seeing the company pay hush money to cover it over was the tipping point for them. He used the compay deleting all traces of them as an employee to his advantage and further erased all personal history about themself that they could find, adopting the name Lye and claiming to be a liberator for the common people. He used machinery from the agency to steal and distribute money from the rich to the poor, eventually modifying the machines as he saw fit. She then went further and started to punish people she felt deserved it, her morality degrading. She earned both a top spot on the government’s wanted list and a cult following for her work.

He has a god complex and a sarcastic disposition. He enjoys toying with those who oppose him and often flirts to get a rise out of people. She genuinely believes what she does is for the best, and is not open to debate on their beliefs.
