Marzen Vell

Marzen Vell is a Jedi survivor of Order 66. He shared a force dyad with Kilavi Sacho before Kilavi’s death during Order 66. He spends his time traveling between different planets, seeking out remnants of the Jedi and occasionally helping the Hidden Path.

✦ Appearance

Marzen Vell is a human with close-cut brown hair and green eyes. He wears tan and brown sleeveless robes, and has a copper-orange lightsaber with a green blade. After Order 66, he takes on Kilavi’s face tattoos and dons a few pieces of armor. He also claims Kilavi’s silvery-blue lightsaber with a white blade.

Early Life:

Marzen was born on Chandrila in 42 BBY. He was recognized as force-sensitive at 2 years old and taken to the Jedi Temple to be trained. It was as a youngling that Marzen met Kilavi Sacho, and the two quickly became friends.

Padawan:

Marzen only grew closer with Kilavi as the two became padawans, and it gradually became clear that the two had a strong bond through the force. They could occasionally sense each other’s feelings, and eventually found that they had the rare ability of using the force the heal some wounds (at the expense of their own life force). Their masters often trained them together, and they learned to work together as a unit.

The Clone Wars:

Marzen was 20 years old when the Clone Wars began, and he was quickly made a Jedi Knight alongside Kilavi. Because of their bond, the two were grouped together, assigned the same missions with the same clone battalion.

Order 66:

At the end of the war, Marzen and Kilavi were sent back to Coruscant to await their next mission. However, Order 66 was executed while they were in the Jedi Temple. Cornered in a hallway, the two were able to fight off the clones and escape through a window, sustaining a few injuries. As they escaped through the streets of Coruscant, pursued by troopers, Kilavi and Marzen healed each other using the force. Marzen could tell that Kilavi was more injured than he was, but Kilavi inisisted on healing Marzen more than himself. They eventually were able to evade the clones and find a brief refuge in an abandoned warehouse. However, weakened by the effort drained to heal Marzen, Kilavi soon succumbed to his wounds and died. Marzen was heartbroken, but did not have time to grieve over his lost friend. Marzen was able to make a makeshift Jedi burial, burning Kilavi’s body with some of the things in the warehouse, before fleeing into the city again.

On the Run:

After a few days of evading clone patrols on the streets of Coruscant, Marzen was able to sneak aboard a shuttle and leave the planet.
