Backstory: 

Computer programmer stuck surviving in the zombie apocalypse with her family and zero skills that are actually relevant to the situation

The worst part about the apocalypse for Iris? Being forced to go outside. The zombies started while at a family reunion at her grandparents’ place, so she and her family were stuck on their property together for the foreseeable future. Luckily, a lot of her family members had very useful knowledge (medicine, gardening, doomsday prepping, etc), so they actually have a pretty good setup going and are well-known by other survivors for their resourcefulness. Iris, however, was a bit of an outlier as a former computer programmer who didn’t do much outside of her apartment before the apocalypse. Her family often has her doing odd jobs around the place, usually maintaining the garden or fixing the fence so no zombies get through.

Personality: 

Iris is rather introverted and socially awkward and doesn’t like being around a lot of people. She doesn’t like the outdoors, hates bugs and dirt, and is very squeamish (which sucks with the zombies). She’s pretty clumsy and not really good with physical work/labor. She’s intelligent, and can sometimes offer solutions to problems other people haven’t thought of yet. She’s always to give something a try even if she hates it because she’s “not dead yet, so might as well do something.” She isn’t very openly emotional, but does struggle a bit with her self-worth at times.

Relationships: 

She has a big family but I haven’t designed them yet.
