The performer has always felt comfortable with embracing the fluidity of identity, shaping herself to suit her environment is second nature to her but unlike what others assume, she does not lose herself in the process. She has a strong moral core and adheres to it pretty strictly, she struggles to break rules but is willing to do so when they conflict with her beliefs. She thinks in rigid way and compensates for this by embracing roles or inventing them for herself depending on her needs in a situation, its easier for her to think of what to do when she frames a conundrum in the context of playing a character and then copying what said character would do. Her inability to betray her beliefs are why she no longer works for the circus that helped cultivate her career. She greatly enjoyed the work and was fond of performing as a clown for children especially and the opportunities she had to show her sleight of hand and acrobatic skills. The pay was good and her coworkers were easy enough to get along with. The performer was fond enough of it that she was willing to ignore and diffuse the pestering advances of her ringmaster, who had a bit of a fixation on her.

But ultimately what wrested her from the placidity was the exploitation of two "tamed" beasts. Bear-like creatures that had been rendered completely and utterly helpless through cruel mutilation, tendons in the arms sprouted from their bodies snipped and bone removed in places leaving the limbs limp. Most teeth pulled from their mouths, claws filed down to harmless nubs, and any fight in them after such ghoulish treatment was thoroughly beaten out of them. Beasts are not considered animals by most due to their unnatural origin on top of their anatomy being unpredictable and uncomfortable looking most did not notice the creatures had been mutilated and delighted in the novel concept of a tame beast. The beasts attracted much attention and the circus thrived. The fact that she benefited from the suffering of another living creature, beast or not, wore on the performer until she could no longer stand her own complacency and decided she had to act. She ultimately used her flexible nature to... allow her ringmaster to indulge in his fixation on her. Taking advantage of his lowered guard she essentially robbed him, she took a handsome portion of his savings and the beasts that brought it to him.

She has since settled on the outskirts of a town and does odd jobs as well as acting in a theater troupe to help fund the beasts care. She feels its her responsibility to do so as penitence for her part in the creatures mistreatment which resulted in their traumatized behavior and medical issues. She is much loved by her fellow actors for her affable and easy to get along with nature and her deep care for living things. She often plays the protagonist of their play which follows a character known as "Mister Fox" that is an adaptation of several of aesops fables strung together to be a cohesive human based narrative. She plays other roles too and enjoys her time in the theater and working with her peers.
