History

Since his childhood, Edward had been an outcast. Abandoned by his family and thrown into a cruel circus of horrors, where he became a victim of slavery and grotesque display. With his face hidden under a sack and his deformed figure, he was known as the "Crooked Man." Every night, he endured the audience's jeers and screams of horror, yearning for a freedom that seemed out of reach.

One night wrapped in mist around the circus tents, an enigmatic figure accompanied the circus master. It was a peculiar girl, with piercing eyes that looked like porcelain. With an air of mystery and authority, she approached Edward, observing him with curiosity and excitement, as if she had discovered a new toy. "Is this the creature that causes so much trouble? I'll take him," said the girl.

The man laughed contemptuously. "What will you do with this abomination, kid? It is nothing more than a useless piece of garbage." In a soft but firm voice, the young woman replied: "That is my business. I will pay you double what it is worth for his freedom." Tempted by the offer, the circus master accepted without further objection. The gold coins glistened in his hand as the young duchess turned to Edward, her expression softening. "Come with me," she ordered. Edward, with no alternatives and still in disbelief, followed her. Thus, Edward, now known as Hatty, left the circus of horrors behind to enter an even more uncertain destiny.

The mansion to which he was taken was hidden on the outskirts of the city, a place that only the bravest dared to visit. "You will be safe here, but you must respect my rules and secrets," the young mistress warned him. Hatty nodded, his mind struggling to process everything he had experienced in the last few hours. As the days and weeks passed, Hatty adjusted to his new life. His daily routine brought him peace he had never known, although he always felt the presence of something sinister lurking in the dark corners of the manor. However, his loyalty to Claire grew, becoming an indestructible bond. Even if his life was engulfed in chaos and despair, he would always be there to protect the young girl in a wheelchair. He became her guardian, her confidant, and her companion even in the darkest of times.
