Lu Wan

As the older of the two twins (though only by mere minutes) and an up-and-coming master Terra bender, Lu Wan has always been the supporting and protecting figure for his younger brother - Te Wan. The two, once inseparable, faced hardship and loss that put their own familial relations under great stress after the True Evil swept through their nation and destroyed all the strongest benders to prevent rebellions or war that could weaken its cause, all the while Lu and Te were forced to hide while their family and friends were slaughtered hopelessly while defending the once peaceful nation of [name pending].

Under the intention of becoming stronger to protect his remaining loved ones and the nation threatened by the True Evil, Lu Wan joined hands with a group that hid their teeth and beckoned him to join them with promises of power. Only when their hooks sank too deep and leaving meant his own death as well as the death of his twin did he realize that he had joined hands with the very beings that wished to reshape the world.

After it had gone too far, Lu forcibly cut ties with Te in order to protect his brother from getting hurt by his own foolish mistakes, not realizing that he was still hurting him by leaving him alone in a world slipping into darkness.
