Puku is a nekomata that has immense amount of magic energy. However, her power output is low, so she conjures hundreds of small fireballls to overwhelm an enemy. She is moody, sometimes she'll be happy and kind to someone, to the point she spoils them like her own child. And then suddenly, she gets irritable and violent. It's one of the reasons why she have few friends, and why other nekomata stays away from her. Despite her unpredictability, she is a very considerate person, and doesn't hunt humans.
