Amos used to be a god of fire and war, he used to be way more short-tempered. However with time, he felt like his role in creating wars was short-sighted. He went against fate, and for that he was demoted. Amos was sentenced to wander the mortal world until his lamp extinguished. He has tried everything to make it happen, yet the lamp will never extinguish, no matter how much he tears it apart. He decided to do something useful of his time in the mortal world, making sure the other demoted gods could have a peaceful life.

With time in the mortal world, and befriending so many of the demoted gods, Amos has become considerably more calm and collected. He has met and seen grow many of the demigods, children of his friends, and has become very attached to them. Amos loves to take care of the children, and sometimes will even take them to guard the gates with him. He is not allowed to take in any of the current gods’ children, without their express authorization, even if he feels for the lonely children.

He has a special complex situation with Kyle, a demoted god of love. They used to date when they were both proper gods, until Amos was demoted. When that happened, Kyle just abandoned him, which Amos has still not gotten over it.

Amos get along well with all the other gods, in exception to Rosé, god of manipulation and lies, and Kyanite, his mortal consort and demigod of a pestilence god. He has no qualms with Pontchartrain, their mortal consort, he just pities him.
