Profile

Personality: Bubbly, supportive, and always there for her lover Abel. She's overly positive due to her father's anxiety tendencies, and she worries over Abel a bit more than most would. Her bird, Jelly, helps reassure her if she gets stressed about Abel's well-being. Her flamboyant features could have also been caused by her father's nature, however instead of using it to hide her insecurities Absolute simply loves sparkly things. She has a mild form of alcoholism developed from attending many 'adult' parties in her youth.

Background: Born to loving parents Misaki and Delicate Elegance, she had a pretty smooth childhood. With the support and encouragement from her parents, Absolute strived from a young age to think about all of the possible things she could become in life. Her bright colors attracted many peers with good and bad reactions, but she never cared about popularity. Friends were easy to come by, but they never stuck with her for very long. Her bird, Jelly was her only friend for the first 12 years of her life. Considering they were born together, it would be more surprising if they weren't friends. The loneliness didn't bother her either since her parents were always there to make up for any gaps that her 'friends' would have left. Things were good for a long time. As she got older, however, she began to notice a few things about her father that had previously flown over her head. Her father would be up at 2 or 3am, snacking numbly on crackers while mumbling to herself. At first - she assumed that it was sleep-walking, or possibly insomnia, but those crackers eventually turned into booze and the soft ramblings turned into terrible internal struggles. It was these little things, the way that her father always seemed tired, always watched Misaki and herself a bit closely, and always avoided any questions regarding whether or not she was okay that led to Absolute sitting her down a year later. It was through their talks that she found out about her father's fears, especially regarding her appearance. She didn't want to think about her dad being scared or being anything less than what she'd seen for so many years and ran off to over-night parties through her teen years. The blinding lights, blaring music, puffs of drugs, and heavy swigs of alcohol swept away her cares, and things were good again. And then Abel stumbled into her life. Beautiful, glowing in the night, her violet tint split away the darkness that Absolute had drowned her mind in. Love was such a powerful thing, it seemed. It was through meeting Abel that Absolute was able to clear her head and get her life back on track. Shortly after seeing Abel and deciding to quit her self-pitying, she talked to her dad about her newfound crush, gave up on partying to fix herself up, and prepared to talk to the girl that seemed out of her world - not to mention out of her league. But! She was Delicate Elegance's and Misaki's daughter, and if they'd taught her anything, it was how to flirt.

Meeting Abel (more background): It was nearly 4am, and she had been standing outside of the club where she first saw the amazing purple girl. Whatever made her dad think that standing outside like this was going to magically get them to meet was utter nonsense, but just as she had turned to go inside something very violet caught her attention and her breath. There she was! It looked like she was on a mission of some sort, talking to herself frantically. To anyone else, that was a clear sign that Absolute should have aborted her mission. But, unfortunately she had a lot of her father's attributes, including being as dense as a rock. She crossed the street over to the girl with a casual "Hey there, Gorgeous. If you were a grape, you would be the hottest grape I have ever seen. Wait, what?" Smooth. Whatever pick-up line she had been going for not only failed to come out, but instead she had literally just called a stranger a grape. She had stopped walking, her full attention on Absolute with a bit of a confused, shocked, and slightly guarded expression with one eyebrow raised in an almost scrutinizing way. She smiled awkwardly, clearing her throat. "Not that being a grape is a bad thing! I mean, I could have called you a raisin. But you'd be a hot raisin! Wait, no that sounds ever worse. Ugh - look you're crazy purple and I would love to spend some time getting to know you if that's possible." Absolute stood up a bit straighter, holding out her hand. "My name is Absolute Territory, by the way. Guess I should have started with that, but pick-up lines are kind of like 'hello' in my family." The girl glanced down at her extended hand for an awkwardly long time, before shaking it. "Uh huh... well, as much as I love hearing about being a raisin or whatever, I'm not interested." She began to walk away, before Absolute moved around to stand in front of her, much to the dismay of the now obviously irked girl. Not being one to give up easily, she raised her hands up in defeat. "Look - I get you're busy right now, but I really really want to know you. I don't have a reason for why, it just feels right - almost otherworldly, you know? Why don't you meet me for lunch tomorrow at Monday's - Around noon? If you don't like it you can get up and walk straight out." Absolute said, staring intensely as she waited for an answer. Another long pause. "Will it get you to leave me alone." She quipped, voice calculating and slightly cold. Almost too quickly, she replied. "Yes, and I'll pay too since I'm inviting you out." The deep sigh in defeat was enough to make Absolute do jumping jacks inside. "Fine." They said a small form of goodbye and Absolute began walking back across the street when her blind date's voice broke once more through the night. "It's Abel, by the way. Try not to call me Grape tomorrow." It wasn't exactly sweet, but it definitely wasn't harsh either.
