Story:

Zerenity breathed in a deep breath of fresh mountain air. As it filled her lungs she felt a calming sensation that had been unknown to her until now. She sighed. It was time to go back now. But she didn't want to. Here in this place, she felt connected. Like she had a purpose. But sadly she must go. For she had a duty to fulfill. She headed down the mountain and returned to the portal. Zerenity flowed through the portal to the land of fairies. "Welcome." Said the fairies on the other side of the portal. "U-uh...H-hello." Zerenity said shyly as she hid deeper inside her hood. She continued to the Oak library. As she entered she felt a slight chill in the air. As she looked around she noticed that most of the fairies were busy at work. She quickly got to her area of the library and began to stack the books neatly on the shelves. Her warm corner of the library was like her sacred space. So whenever someone came into her domain she felt uncomfortable and not at all at ease. But on rare occasions, someone would notice her discomfort and leave almost immediately. There was this one person who really made her the most at ease & comfortable. Zerenity hadn't talked to him much but she found out a few things about him. His name is Lupin and he loves to read. Almost as much as herself. He usually comes around her section often. Which made Zerenity wonder. Why exactly did he come around her section? It's not like there was anything that interesting to read. At least not in her opinion. She probably shelved the dullest books in the library. So why did he usually come to her section of the library? As she walked home she thought about just that. "I'm home." She called as she stepped inside the house. Silence. This is when she felt most lonely. Her home felt so empty. So Zerenity did all that she could to stay away until nightfall. But even then she was still lonely. She clicked on the tv then headed into the kitchen to fix herself some food. As she watched what seem to be a mystery show a thought occurred to her. "What if I were to make friends with Lupin? Then I wouldn't be so lonely." She smiled at the thought. "But." She said quietly, "What if he doesn't want to be my friend?" That night she went to sleep with those thoughts swirling inside her head. The next morning she couldn't take it. She was going to ask him. Even if he said no. Because this loneliness was too much to bear anymore. She missed having friends to talk to and family that she could love. Her heart was filled with sadness at the thought of losing all the people she cared for.
