Florianus

Optimistic. Emotional. Timid

Despite the Prophecy and the events following, Florianus remains an optimistic young feline dedicated to learning and practicing medicine, finding a sense of purpose and fulfillment by attending to the ailments of the citizens of Areté. His outlook on the future is positive, after all, if cats and dogs have fought and survived until now, then so can those within the walls of Areté. Florianus is naturally emotional. He is kind to anyone he meets, empathetic to those who confide in him, and extremely sensitive to the emotions of those around him. However, this emotional disposition makes him gullible, as he believes an inherent goodness is present in every cat or dog. Florianus is quick to trust others who have done good deeds and would generously offer his services to those claiming to be in need without compensation. Even the gods had their follies, so can't dogs and cats be trusted with a second chance? Florianus is an inconspicuous and timid individual, comfortable enough in his own company not to draw attention to himself and often deferring to authority or carefully following the feelings of a large crowd. He can appear rather insecure. A drastic change to his routine way of life is an uncomfortable, even frightening, thought to entertain. And Florianus may have to confront those changes sooner than he thinks. Due to his profession, Florianus has developed more diplomatic and cooperative skills when interacting with the populace. He values treating all cats and dogs fairly and without bias, believing anyone can provide a valuable contribution to society at large. Florianus is a polite and honest individual who is open to learning from more experienced peers. He believes that conflict can be resolved peacefully and that cats and dogs are stronger pooling their collective strengths. Florianus had a difficult journey to acceptance into the path of the Plenitude. However, this journey instilled a lot of patience in him. After all, why worry about the future when you can cherish the time and individuals in the present? He has a calm personality, striving to remain level-headed in the face of adversity. Since he was a kitten, Florianus worked closely with his sister to learn how to identify injuries and memorize treatments using his senses of smell, touch, and hearing due to his blindness. Florianus is a hard worker and rarely idle, often overworking himself to the point of exhaustion, always prioritizing the condition of others above his own.
