Rory Zimmerman-Fletcher

Rory is the child of Gerry and Jamar, and the great-nephew of Clemence. Rory is quiet and often seems distant from conversations. He most often just nods at what is said to him and gets very upset when someone points out that he is silent. This is due to his autism and he is understood most by Gerry, who also has autism. They can communicate well without using almost any words, which is why Rory often spends time with Gerry. 

Early years

Because Rory's parents are not cisgender, they specifically gave him a gender-neutral name and never pushed for any gender stereotypes in his life. Rory is AFAB and the first years of his life, his parents used any pronouns to refer to him or simply called him by name. He was always free to choose clothes and other things and no one influenced his choice in accordance with his AGAB. When he was 12, he identified himself as trans and told his parents about it, after which they began using only he/him pronouns for him. Gerry bought him a binder and is ready to give him what he needs. His parents are ready for any decision their child makes, and even if after a while he realizes that he is not transgender, they will treat this without judgment. Even when Rory identifies more as a boy, his parents don't insist on stereotypically masculine gifts. They always ask what Rory wants so as not to be intrusive. This atmosphere of understanding had a good effect on Rory, who had been withdrawn and fearful since childhood. Although he understands that not everyone in the world will be as kind to him as his parents, he is ready to respond correctly to cases of intolerance towards him.

Nowadays

Rory likes both his parents' careers at the same time, but he doesn't know what he wants to do himself. He tries to create music and also draw comics, but is not entirely sure that this is what he needs. Since childhood, Rory has had a passion for robots and technology, which is his special interest, but he gets very frustrated because he suffers from dyscalculia, and to become a roboticist he need to know math.

After Gerry met Reginald and his friends, Rory became friends with Spicy due to similar interests. They often communicate on the Internet and sometimes Spicy visits Jamar's store, where Rory happens to be. Rory is also interested in Magnus, but he is afraid to communicate with him because he is very much older than him. Moreover, having experience with his strict grandfather Clemence, he is afraid that Magnus will also be too strict with him.
