Gwylym It's just a figment of Angela's imagination. It lives as the carnation of Angela's unresolved childhood trauma. She couldn't find a way to escape and learn to grow up so this creature represents, she is stuck in between becoming an adult and unable to heal her inner child.

More about Gwylym Gwylym is a version of a caterpillar, whom got stuck in between becoming a butterfly and staying of caterpillar. It was never able to become or form a cocoon. But despite Gwylyms mannerisms he is not nonverbal and can only communicate through small gestures and nodding his head.
