North is.. interesting. She’s definitely not as she seems.
The senior Iterator for the [WHISPERINGROOTS] Iterator group, grown to resent those made after her. Grown to hate the more modern models and their upgraded, extravagant features, she began on her own plan-kept in secret from everyone else in her local group. Nobody but her would know the ill intent of the.. ‘messenger’ she was planning to send out.
On the outside, North is kind. Understanding, helpful. Like a big sister trying to parent her siblings. Yet.. it’s all a ruse. She’s calculated. Manipulative, in her own way. Secretive. Her true intentions have almost never been known, even hidden from her Administrators and Citizens before the Great Ascension.
Her original purpose was just to aid in the Great Ascension. She was meant for nothing more except housing and questioning, never really being cared for as her own person—just as an AI to help aid their ‘great problem’.
Before her Citizens ascended, she spoke in what were essentially riddles, making her wisdom useless to those who just wanted to mess around with her. It took genuine curiosity and effort to get her opinions, to get her reasonings, to get her responses.
But now? That’s all thrown out the window.
Now she speaks normally, speaks seriously, mixed with a bit of carefree energy, just to keep up the ruse and lower any possible suspicions. She’s still the same senior Iterator to her group. None of them know what she’s planning.
None of them knew how curious she was in Sliver of Straw’s sudden death and sudden broadcast.
None of them know her plan for the Triple Affirmative.
