Kalshan

Kalshan was little more than an infant kitten when his family's trade caravan was attacked by bandits. His wounded mother dragged him and herself away from the bloodshed and managed to reach a nord lumber mill before collapsing to the ground. With her final breath, she pleaded with the owner of the mill to care for her cub, repeating the phrase "Ahziss Kalshan!" until the old nord, Tor Frostfellow, finally relented. Satisfied that her cub was safe, she died not long after and was given a respectful burial. Kalshan was officially adopted not long after and was raised alongside the nord's two sons, Erlid and Haran. Though Tor favored his natural sons over his khajiit son, he never mistreated or neglected him. The three brothers shared the comforts of home and family equally, but it was only Erlid and Haran who eventually inherited the family home and business when Tor passed away. Though the two brothers inherited their father's estate, they chose not to leave Kalshan with nothing. They gave their khajiiti brother enough gold to start a small business and sent him on his way with well wishes.
