Kaito Fukui

Kaito has a changing and confusing personality. On the  surface he comes off as a desperately hormonal freak who stops at nothing to get what he wants, and while partially true, he is far from simple. Kaito finds little joy in himself and only truly lights up when he’s around the people he cares about. He is selfless and considerate despite it all, willing to lay his life on the line for the smallest things. He would do almost anything to make people like him more, a trait that has led him to do some pretty bad things in his life. 

His loyalty is unmatched. Similar in ways to a feral dog, if Kaito is ‘fed’, he’s sure to stay beside that person for life. He isn’t a superstitious boy, he doesn’t bother in pondering religion or morality, because at the end of the day, everyone dies. His goal is to spend his life with the people he cares about and then die a good death. He believes that in order to stay beside the ones he loves,  he must be in the best physical form possible and must be capable at defending them. Trust and vulnerability are very valuable to him, if someone is able to lower their walls around him, he’s likely to love them all the more. Because he’s never been told any different, he (shakily) believes that intimate behavior is the only way to show someone that he truly likes them, even as friends, which has led to some confusing confrontations. He doesn’t understand what love is yet, the concept often causes breakdowns. He sometimes interprets acts of violence on himself as a form of affection.

He doesn’t like to talk about his history and can get very emotional and upset when it’s brought up. He can be stubborn over the smallest of things, accidentally irritating people sometimes. He’s desperate for attention and can turn extremely possessive over specific people, leading to a rise in his jealousy. He keeps small forms of memorabilia in a drawer and never refuses things given to him.
