-Mentions of ableism, this story has kind of... accidentally gotten a lot of it?? Not in a 'this is good' kinda way, but in a 'this shit was BAD and we shouldn't forget it happened' way, if that makes sense.
-To be more specific, Derek was admitted to an insane asylum-places known for being INSANELY abusive from what I've learned. And they only fully shut down in 2015 (when they were created in 1814, 201 years prior to this. Or, at least that's what it's saying about the UK, I can't tell with the US but I assume it may be similar?)
