Tenebris

She is feared far and wide, for something she cannot orchaestrate; merely prepares and awaits the outcome. Mortals do not know of this because of their ignorance. Tenebris is known as the goddess of death and consequence; some people call her Death for short. She also goes by they/them, and doesn't mind whichever she is referred to. Death is one of the oldest deities in existence; she was born of the same wish of Asterales, the goddess of life, making them twin sisters; however, they both vary differently, not just in appearance. Tenebris is a peculiar god; she not only gains power from the shrines people have created of her, but she also gains power whenever she is spoken of; which is often in a world of 8 billion people and counting. Because of this, she is most likely the most powerful deity in existence; but with great power, comes great responsibility.

Tenebris is mute by choice; able to speak, but doesn't for unknown reasons. Instead, she speaks by using the whispers of the deceased; unable to understand by ear, but when focusing your mind on the multiple whispers you can understand clearly. The whispers can only be heard by the deities and/or mortals she chooses. Tenebris is generally quiet, only speaking when necessary or asked. Despite being the death deity, she doesn't mind her job and doesn't get depressed by it; she is actually very giddy and laughs at almost every joke; her laughs are silent, and instead of hearing giggles you can hear the calm ringing of a bell. She's quite curious and one of the wisest deities due to the burdens of her occupation and element. When first meeting her, people can get scared off or tense up easily because of her looks. She can be friendly; although is cautious around mortals. Death is someone who doesn't speak unless spoken to, and prefers to stay in the back, away from others; however, she doesn't mind company.
