Profile

Strong major deity, benefiting from a need of humans to feel safe and protected.

Originated from a peaceful magical beast who's scales were impossible to penetrate by any weapon.
Was transformed into a god of safeguarding and protection by people's beliefs, but its magic is more about preservation of oneself than reckless courage or self-sacrifice.
Looks like dragon-like pangolin creature, completely covered in periwinkle scales, with rare light ivory ones scattered across the body.
As soon as a scale is slightly damaged it discards it and instantly grows a new one. Its four vulnerable eyes are always covered and floating eye-charms are used instead.

Is always present in his mortal form somewhere, hence why there is a constant supply of strong enchanted items. Even shields are sometimes made from its discarded scales.
In divine form has longer body and tail and even more scales, but feels more vulnerable, so it prefers to stay in mortal realm.
Can grant enhancements to protective armor and shields, strengthen human bones and harden soft tissue. Sometimes affected people grow full on scales and it's considered a blessing.
Favours sentinels, guardian knights, besieged, armor smiths and tailors, shut in/walled in hermits, fearful people.
Has several knight and monk orders, as well as smith and craft guilds to its honor, but treats everyone regardless of their status or alliance.

Is a shy and skittish creature that doesn't act like it's a powerful deity and just wants to be left alone. Closer to living beings than the divine.

Notes
- loose scale design, some scales can be shaped like shields in depiction or be in more neat rows to look more protective
- extra strong white scales show up in random places when an old or damaged scale is shed, may be caused by stress

- eye amulets are made from marble, a gift to pangolin from another god or a gifted human
