Goose is sort of the main character of a little circus troupe. They're a rather shy jester that's not very good at their job, but they're trying their best...! They may not be good at juggling, or spinning plates, or telling jokes but.... yeah!
Their pitiful attempts at getting people to laugh sometimes *does* work, though... just maybe not in the way they intended.
