Hometown: Charlottesville; A small town in the middle of the forest. Population around 5000 but has huge tourist appear for the forest and supposed supernatural beings that tour it.

-Large werewolf populations in woods, mostly loners and one small pack of five.

Personality: Kira seems like a standoffish loner, despite her job focusing on human interaction. Conversation can be prodded out of her fairly easy but unless you make a habit out of it replies usually come as lackluster, short, and/or blunt. The more efdort and time put into getting to know her the more time she will spend making an effort into knowing you. Beyond her hardened exterior lays an incredibly protective and morally driven girl. At even the slightest wrong like a knight in shining armour Kira will break up fights and protect innocent parties brutally. She especially has a mistrust in fellow supernatural species. Many refer to her as "the lonely butcher" as she is clearly and hopelessly alone, however she denies any questions on whether or not she is fine or lonely. Like most people she wants to find a few people to hold dear, but her trust issues and first impression make this difficult.

History:

Kira was born to two purebred werewolves by the names of Joseph and Marina, a couple who had lived their entire lives in the confines of Charlottesville. As a pup she was raised hands on in the woods, hunting, running, climbing. Due to an incident involving a lack of control in Joseph’s youth they wanted to be sure Kira could control her wolf fully, and the best way was to be hands on. Most of her childhood was spent in the form of her wolf, which left her in a tamed feral sort of state. Her relationship to her parents was more pack like than a loving family unit, their bond was strong but not as emotional and loving as many human families. Slowly her parents reintroduced her into the human lifestyle, though she was often times miserable in the walls of concrete and metals. She had a natural skill for combat and sports but lacked in most other departments such as reading and writing.

Kira joined school significantly later than everyone else so she didn’t make any life long friends through school due to the age gap. She did gain a reputation however. Her first day of grade school she discovered a senior male pressing a girl to the wall. He had a broken bloody nose and a sprained wrist in the matter of a minute. She became the white knight, swooping into any situation to reprimand it with her own dose of violence. Despite her constant “heroic" acts Kira never settled in with any groups or cliques, nobody ever wanted her around for more than a few minutes. Most people viewed her as stupid, due to her being miserable at nearly every core class and excelling in sports. She was a stereotypical jock, only she stood up for the weak instead of being cruel.

Her lack of socialization was fine by her, and she slowly grew to be an introverted lone wolf. She felt at home in the forest, as a wolf-a werewolf didn’t need to bother with human friends, she could form a pack if need be later on in life to remedy any loneliness. Or at least that’s what her father encouraged on their hunts. He disapproved her stance on protecting the weaker humans as well, but she could never push herself to stop despite him being her alpha. Her line of morals slowly blurred as she entered highschool, her human form confusing and imbalanced as it grew. Her fashion sense grew more defined, and she found herself indulging in her human side more often. She was a new level of fierce, on top of growing to be standoffish. Smoking behind the school, beating up students, yelling-Kia was sent to the office alot in her final few years of school.

Her father grew angrier with every phone call, and a fight broke out near the end of her final day of school. He was angry of her ignoring his one command, and even more so of her disrespecting him in turn. He began to yell, and when she yelled back he shifted. At first she simply glared him down and responded with the line he had heard a million times “If I don’t protect them nobody else will! I have the power to defend them, we all do so why aren’t we?!” His anger had spiked and he slashed the right side of her face. Recognizing the danger immediately she shifted as well, fighting back with ferocity. She didn’t win, her father was more experienced and much older. However she had made a decision by the time he pulled his blood and dirt coated body off of hers. She was not a pack werewolf.

Possessions were out of her house before her father returned. Her new home was carved out of an old abandoned treehouse. Nobody questioned the limp or tightly wound bandages at school, they were almost normal for her. She graduated alone and began to make money by selling pelts and game meat. She acquired a real job as a cleaner in the back of the butchers shop, quickly gaining the trust of the owner-Dave and gaining a promotion to actually cutting and preparing cuts of meat instead of just cleaning. A few uneventful years pass, a cycle of going to the butchers and the treehouse with the occasional hunt in the woods. She grew more bored and felt more defeated, not that she let that on. Her parents had made no attempts at contact either and the loneliness of her youth was suddenly ten times worse.

Lone werewolves often passed each other in the woods, most simply evaded the other, dome were friendly, some grew territorial or aggressive. Kia was used to seeing them pass through her stretch of the woods, but none had ever approached her actual home. Untilnone did. She scented him miles before he was near, coming from upwind. He wanted her to know of his approach. When his scent was strong and close she shifted, hulking wolf form half a foot upwards of him. She let out a warning growl and he lowered his head and tail submissively. He made no attempt at aggression or fear as the female circled him, submissive pose sturdy. He rose to his feet when she ushered him up, staring down at him with narrowed eyes. She was asking what he wanted from her without words.

He opened his mouth to speak but was quickly cut off as a shape smashed into him from behind Kia. Another werewolf that had approached from downwind as he came from upwind. The two slammed into the ground as Kia began to snarl, the newcomer sinking it’s teeth into the others neck as they struggled against their grip. She recognized what it was trying to do and was sinking her own fangs into the back of its neck before it could successfully forcefully leave a mating mark on the strangers neck. It had been a while since she had protected anyone from the impurities of the world but she was overcome with a rage she had set aside for years.

She would have torn the assailant to pieces had the former werewolf not shifted into human form. As werewolves nudity did not bother them. It was the butcher. “Kira! Stop we just wanted to check the rumours--And we have a proposal.” the distraction gave the assailant time to rip his neck from her jaws. He turned and stood next to the human form of the butcher. “I am a werewolf. I have been one of two protectors of this town.” It was straight out of a TV drama. “Every town needs heroes. Especially those that can stay in the shadows… Kira we have seen and heard of you long before you even graduated. My kin needs us in the north, but we cannot leave this town without a protector. I want you-Kira to become that protector.” She did not understand what the town would even need her for. It was a small town-nothing big or violent ever happened. Or so she thought.

“If you agree to protect this town, and its citizens you will take over the butcher shop and continue your job as normal. Only you will be its sole owner. You will live upstairs as I have and be the next generation.” needless to say, she took the job. Life continued on for nearly a week until she helped the man move out of his home. They signed the lease change together and she was left to move her own items upstairs. Her crushing loneliness suddenly hit home as she set out to become the protector of the town, unaware of how large a task she had agreed to.
