Meridian was born from a clash between two lovers and a dimensional rift. Her mother Ascian, a Tiefling sorcerer who harbored crystal horns of amethyst and was quite respected throughout their homeland along side Meridians Father Verendus, a Half-Solar wizard with a beard made from light. They were both great dimensional travelers, only staying in one place from a couple months to just a week. Their bond and love grew great and powerful the further they travelled, to where nothing could separate them.

The sky began to shift from a calm azure blue, to a dark foreboding, swirling grey. The ocean of clouds twisted and circled above the couple, cracks of lightning lit up the mass of nimbus. Running for cover, Verendus gripped Ascian's hand as they sprinted to the cover of the trees. Above them glowed with a bright turquoise as a dimensional rift cracked through the sky like lightning, striking the couples connected hands and dismembering them both at the wrist. The hands instantly became locked in an eternal hold, being stuck between dimensions. This force recoiled into Verendus and Ascian, while Verendus was able to withhold this surge of magic, Ascian's weaker magical body was forced onto the ground, making her drop her staff. The staff shot out a galactic beam that hit Verendus, Teleporting him to a far away dimension where he was cursed to be unable to travel through rifts ever again.

The interlocked hand of Meridians parents was found by traveling intergalactic beings, plucking it from the in-between and placing it under their care. Over the months, the hands began to shift into more organ-like tissue, then it began resembling a human heart. It then began to grow from the inside out, the other humanoid organs beginning to form and grow, then bones, nerves, then muscle. Creating Meridian. She was "born" as already a younger child, around five years old.

The beings were able to teach her the basic customs of her species, along with basic humanoid language, and also some of their customs/values. When they deemed her old enough (around 15), they evaluated and searched her DNA and were able to find the whereabouts of her Father, but not her mother. They embraced Meridian lovingly, kissing her on the cheek and using a spell to safely send her down to the earth.

Setting foot on the warm blades of grass in the evening sun, she looked up to see a very stereotypical cobblestone wizard tower covered with glowing moss and lichen. There were crystal lanterns hanging from the doorway and a very well looked after garden around the sides of the tower. Nervously knocking at the door, it swung open almost instantly. Meridian was greeted by an old wizard adorned with a giant magic hat with little glowing stars on it, whose beard was glowing but quite dim and one of his hands was made from a purple magic.

"Oh? Hello young one, may I help you?" Verendus asked with an air of confusion, Meridian looked very familiar to him. "U-uh.... My name is Meridian, I uh.. I am what you would call your daughter...but... not really at the same time.." His eyes widened, but he took a step back. "How? H-How is that possible? Theres no way that could be possible its been 6 years! You look at least 14!" She took a wary step forward, "Its going to take me a while to explain.. do you mind if i sit down and tell you everything I know?"
