Most Bir’rix dragons are healers by nature, and Melethanerox is no different. He has established himself as a priest of the Sun, and primarily focuses on helping those with psychological ailments, particularly depression. He uses his innate energy manipulation powers to channel the bright and warm energies in order to give his patients an energetic “cushion,” or essentially, a personal alignment shift of the aura that provides an ideal opportunity to heal and grow. His patients often need to return several times before they are completely healed, but he considers his methods to be structurally and ideologically sound, as he is not forcing someone to “get better” but instead providing them with ideal conditions for improvement.
Beyond his career, Melethanerox is an avid lover of the arts. His favorite places invariably are museums. The palace building at the center of the Bir’rix komu is an endlessly rotating art museum, and he spends as much of his free time there as he can - and he is equally entraced by Earth art. He’s not much of an artist himself, but he loves settling in to watch people create, and will provide his most potent, quiet cheerleading to them.

Melethanerox stands at about seven feet at his shoulder, and carries himself very proudly. His feathers are a bright, almost tinselly yellow-gold, although they have thinned at his elbows and knees, as well as his snout, revealing a soft, leathery, dark brown skin beneath. His intelligent eyes are a gold shade to match his feathers, and they often take on an attentive and severe expression. His movements, particularly those of his head, are birdlike and jolty. He sometimes accessorizes himself with crystal necklaces and scraps of glittering fabrics he likes to tie fashionably around his neck and wrists. He has no horns unlike many members of his race.
