does it in their stead. A single hand reaches out to the sky with the power of many.

She purifies. An identity she loves and wants to free from the burdens of a controlling system.

To become a beacon of hope to others like the night sky's stars, that is her wish.

BIO

Primrose is a playable character in Under Night In-Birth. She is a well-known idol in Kanzakai who uses the Night as a form of escapism from her work as an idol.

Background

Yoru is an idol in Kanzakai known by her alias Primrose, as well as her self-given alias Oenothera in the Night. She is not familiar with most aspects of the Night, and views it as an escape from her overbearing idol career, hence the change in her alias. She is also a third year at the same high school as Hyde and others, but isn't in attendance often due to her work. Despite the stress caused by her idol work, she maintains an eccentric, bubbly demeanor, especially in the Night. She isn't very familiar with the Night and EXS in general, but enjoys the escapism she feels from it, and her main goal is to "purify" those she believes succumb to EXS corruption with her own EXS, Accelerando.

Relationships

Carmine - Yoru and Carmine are in the same year and class. Initially, the two weren't really aware of each other as both aren't in attendance often, until one day when she saw him passed out on the ground, just at the entrance of the school. She immediately tried to help and carry him to class, which really bothered Carmine when he regained consciousness. Yoru was a little put off and uncomfortable by his rude demeanor, but didn't think too much of it initially, until weeks later when she had run into him in the Night, attacking another In-Birth. She had known he was generally an aggressive and violent person, but wasn't aware that he was an In-Birth, much less one that fought others brutally and without reason. Carmine wasn't aware that Yoru was there watching, or even that she is an In-Birth to begin with, but ever since that encounter she has become terrified of him, and even stressed being in the same class as him. Still, a part of her believes that she can "save" him as she does with those corrupted by EXS.

Komatsu - Komatsu initially met Yoru because she was assigned to help her with her missing classwork. Because of this, she was the only person in school that Yoru was really close to, so they ended up getting along well outside of their schoolwork sessions. Eventually, Yoru reveals to Komatsu about her work as an idol and as an In-Birth, and later, her confusion regarding her EXS and the Night. To her surprise, Komatsu was an In-Birth herself, and was able to teach her the aspects of the Night, as well as her own experiences and EXS. She also tells Yoru about the EFG, which she became interested in but declined to join, mainly due to being busy. Still, the two maintain an especially close relationship.

Also, Yoru often refers to her as Komacchi (こまっち).

Tsurugi - Yoru knows about Tsurugi mainly through Komatsu, who told her about him when discussing the EFG a few times. She rarely talks to him in person, but thinks he's overall a nice guy.
