He calls a partially submerged shipwreck his home (also where he found his diver-suit helmet), harassing the underwater life that he calls friends. Passing mermaids love to make him pretty by braiding his hair and adorning it with shells and strings of pearls and, much to his dismay, they are very difficult to get off and it's easier to just try to ignore them. Although he pretends to dislike the jewelry, he secretly admires how they look on him while no one else is around.
