M-3 (read em-three) is a repairman robot, originally designed to help analyze and repair other malfunctioning robots and machines. However, for reasons they cannot recall, humanity has long since deserted the area they live in. Now, they reside in a grotto in the woods, frequently visiting a nearby abandoned city to stock up on anything they're missing, as well as collecting human artifacts to furnish their home. Their repair skills are as sharp as ever, and they serve as something like a doctor/veterinarian to the smaller, animal-like robots still living in the area. They are calm and unadventurous, and mostly content despite their rather repetitive and predictable life. However, as the years pass without any humans or advanced robots to talk to, they've become increasingly lonely, although they don't recognize the emotion for what it is.
